Chopped from Singapore’s own grown African Mahogany, this cutting board is a single chunk of premium wood unlike others where the strips of wood are glued together. Both sides are usable - one side for cutting and preparing small meals and snacks, the other for serving guests.

Not wanting to contribute to deforestation or natural habitat loss, Arthur Zaaro innovated and used hardwoods disposed in Singapore during landscaping work, in collaboration with NParks Singapore.

For every hardwood discarded, Arthur Zaaro collects them and turn them into the cutting boards you see as there is little that can be done with them in the city. Each Singapore-sourced wood is carefully labelled and tracked. Occasionally, there will be some that are made from sustainable wood from other countries. All boards are clearly labelled to identify their origin.
